Audrey Dean's Meatballs

1 lb ground beef
1 egg
1 slice of bread crumbled(soft)
1/4 cup milk
salt,pepper,nutmeg
1/4 cup chopped onion
Mix and shape into flat meat balls. Brown in skillet. Pour one can tomato soup over and a little water. Sprinkle with sugar. Simmer covered 45 minutes.

This is a good,easy meatball recipe. I always remember the browned meatballs, and the tomato soup makes a nice sauce. It is good with mashed potatoes. I had never actually seen the recipe so I didn't know about the sugar or nutmeg. I'll have to try it again.
